◈ MISSION CONTROL

PAPER
MISSION KIT

Everything else here ends at the screen. This one comes off the printer: a mission patch, a crew badge and a fold-up console card, on one sheet. Cut on the dashed lines, fold on the dotted ones.

01Print this page at 100% scale — not "fit to page", which will shrink it and make the fold lines lie. A4 or Letter both work; Letter just leaves a little more margin at the foot.
02Cut the three pieces out on the dashed lines. The patch is a circle, the badge is a rectangle with a fold across the middle, and the console card is a long strip with two folds.
03Fold the badge along the dotted line so the crest faces out and the blank faces in. Write your own position on it — the whole point is that it is yours, not mine.
04Fold the console card into a triangle and stand it up. The GO/NO-GO poll is on the reverse, so it faces you when the card faces the room.
◈ BACK TO MISSION CONTROL

Why paper. A portfolio that produces a physical object is rare, and an object survives a browser tab. This sheet is laid out in millimetres rather than pixels, so what is on the screen and what is on the paper are the same size — and it is drawn entirely in strokes and text, so it prints from a black-and-white laser printer with nothing missing.
